Arrival in Kathmandu and rafting on Trishuli:
The Nepal Adventure tour starts off from Kathmandu, the country's capital city. After meeting up with the team and spending your first night in Nepal, we drive to Charaudi. Exiting Kathmandu, it takes a few hours to reach Charaudi and the banks of the Trishuli River. Here is our rafting entry point, and we gear up!
Our rafting instructors provide us with a safety briefing before heading out and making sure all of our gear is in check. We enjoy a few hours rafting, bringing a packed lunch, which we eat somewhere along the way on one of the beach banks. At Chumlingtar, we exit and have the option to either overnight at one of the beach tents or in a standard hotel room at one of the riverside resorts. The night is filled with music, dance and BBQ!
Drive to Chitwan and jungle activities:
The next morning, the Nepal Adventure tour takes us to Chitwan. Located in the flat lands of the Terai region of Nepal, Chitwan is home to one of Nepal’s protective National Parks. Open to the public for sightseeing and to help maintain preservation and understanding, Chitwan National Park is where you’ll get real-life encounters with various tropical and exotic animals such as the Asian Elephant.
The park is located at Sauraha and is home to the ethnic Tharu people. These masters of the jungle live and thrive here and have their own unique culture and traditions. After arriving at your hotel in Chitwan, we’ll enjoy a short jungle walk and visit these Tharu villages. In the evening, a unique Tharu culture show takes place, filled with dance and music. The next day we enjoy various jungle activities in and around the National Park.
We start with a scenic canoe ride on the Rapti River bordering the National Park. You can see Mud mugger and Gharial crocodiles sunbathing on the banks of the river, as well as various birds such as the elusive Kingfisher! During midday, when the sun is at its highest, we visit another part of the Rapti River used for Elephant bathing and water playing. Here the elephants enjoy the cool water, and we can help them rub their thick skin and freshen up!
In the afternoon, we head into the jungle of the National Park; you can either go by elephant or by jeep. Do note that jeep safaris will incur extra costs. The elephants used for safari are well trained and taken care of; by taking an elephant safari, you are not abusing an animal but rather providing necessary income to help preserve these incredible animals!
Pokhara and activities:
Our next stop on the incredible Nepal Adventure tour goes to Pokhara city. Known to be one of Nepal’s most beautiful cities, Pokhara has incredible views of Mt Machhapuchhare and lies just at the banks of Phewa Lake. It will take most of the morning and noon to reach there from Chitwan. In the afternoon, we’ll reach Pokhara and check in to our hotel.
After some refreshments, we head out to Phewa Lake for boating and visiting the Tal Barahi Temple located on a small island on the lake. The evening is free, and we do recommend visiting one of the lakeside restaurants! For the next day, we have paragliding, bungee jumping and zip lining planned.
It depends on the season and weather whether we go paragliding first or not. In any case, the starting point for paragliding is just atop Sarangkot hill where we will drive to.
Enjoy about 45 minutes of scenic paragliding, with incredible views of the Annapurna Mountain Range as well as Pokhara and Phewa Lake. We’ll land just next to the lake and drive back to your hotel after collecting your photos and videos. After or before this, we head out to one of the world’s longest and fasted zip lines.
Stretching over 1.8km (1.2 miles), this zip line reaches speeds up to 100+km/hour (85mls/hour)! At the end of the line is the bungee platform as well. This artificial but exhilarating 70m (230ft) vertical drop offers you 5 seconds of pure free fall! Having enjoyed these adventurous activities on the Nepal Adventure tour, we plan for a short hiking trip the next day.
Driving to Naudanda for a short while and left Pokhara city behind us. We reached the village and enjoyed some short sightseeing before heading out. Our first destination, Kaskikot, is just a few hours away on up and down going trails with incredible views of the Annapurna Himalayas!
Kaskikot is where the ruins of an old fort still lie bare, and we’ll take the adventure by exploring around here before hiking further up to Sarangkot. It’ll be around afternoon when we reach Sarangkot and hike a bit further to visit the famous Sarangkot viewpoint as well.
From here, incredible views of the Pokhara Valley and the Annapurnas can be seen! Our vehicle will be waiting, and we will drive back to Pokhara. The next day, we depart back to Kathmandu.
Mountain flight of Mt Everest:
For the last part of Nobel Holidays 10 days Nepal Adventure tour, we head back to Kathmandu. It’ll take most of the day traveling. The next morning, however, we head out to the airport for one of the most scenic short flights in the world! A mountain flight of the highest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest!
Not only will you be able to see this mountain up close, but various other Himalayan peaks and mountains as well, such as the Langtang Lirung Peak as well as the Chamlang Peak. More near to Everest, you’ll get to see views of other peaks above 8,000 m, such as the Shisha Pangma (8,013m/26,290ft), Cho-Oyo (8,201m/26,906ft), and Lhotse (8,516m/27,940ft)!
